SFC Lamegos, Manuel grew up in Los Angeles, California. He joined the Army in 2002 and subsequently graduated OSUT training at Fort Knox Kentucky as an Armored Crewman.

His previous assignments include:

2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regt.; Fort Hood, TX; serving as an Abrams Tank Loader.

1st Squadron, 16th Cavalry Regt. Fort Knox, KY; serving as a Tank driver.

1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regt. Fort Hood, Tx; serving as a Tank gunner and Tank Commander.

3rd Battalion, 81st Battalion Armored Regt. Fort Knox, KY/Fort Benning, GA; serving as an Instructor/Writer and Senior Instructor.

3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regt. Fort Wainwright, AK; serving as Mobile Gun System commander and Platoon Sergeant.

2nd Battalion, 358th Armored Regiment, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA; serving as OC/T and OC/T trainer.

4th Battalion, 70th Armored Regiment, Fort Bliss, TX, serving as Tank Platoon Sergeant.

SFC Lamegos is a graduate Basic Instructor Course, Master Driver Course, CREW Master Gunner Course, Master Resilience Trainer Course, Sexual Harassment and Assault Response Prevention Course, Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Small Group Instructor Training Course, Modern Army Combatives program levels, 1,2, 3, and 4. SFC Lamegos is pursuing a Bachelors in Homeland Security from American Military University.
