About
Captain Ryan is an Active Duty servicemember with the University of Illinois-Chicago ROTC program. He was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas as an ROTC Cadet. He joined the Texas Army National Guard in 2010 and was commissioned as an 88A Officer into the Transportation Corps in 2013. He started his military career with the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas and deployed to the CENTCOM AO in 2014 as a Platoon Leader. Upon promotion to Captain, he attended the Logistics Captain's Career Course (LOGC3) at Fort Lee, Virginia and was certified as a Logistician in the MOS 90A. After departing Fort Lee, Captain Ryan was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado with 4th Infantry Division, where he deployed again to the CENTCOM AO in 2019. Captain Ryan's newest post is as the Assistant Professor of Military Science for MS2 Cadets, instructing and shaping the future of our Army leadership.
Captain Ryan's military assignments include 154 Composite Truck Company HET Platoon Leader, 4th Sustainment Brigade Motor & Rail Transportation Officer, 64th Brigade Support Battalion Operations Officer, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team Logistics Planner, Commander of Hotel Forward Support Company for 1-66 Armored Regiment (the oldest Tank unit in our Army), and 3ABCT Support Operations Planning & Transportation Officer.
He is married with three children.
