SFC Julca


SFC Julca is original from Chiclayo, Peru, shortly after moving to the U.S he enlisted in the United States Army in 2003 and completed Infantry One Station Unit training at Fort Benning Ga, upon completion of his initial Training he was assigned to the 82nd ABN DIV. at FT Bragg NC as an 11B Infantryman.

While serving with 2-504th PIR, 82ND ABN DIV, SFC Julca served in the positions of rifleman, Grenadier, Machine gunner, Team Leader, Infantry Scout Squad Leader and Squad Leader. He earned the Expert Infantry Badge as a Private First class and the Combat Infantry Badge while deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. While assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division, he served in Operation Iraqi freedom on a 15 month deployment.

In 2007, SFC Julca was selected by the Department of the Army to serve as a Drill Sergeant at Fort Benning Ga, where he trained and graduated over 3000 new Infantry Soldiers into the Army, he earned the Drill Sergeant of the Cycle three times. He also won his Battalion’s Drill Sergeant of the year award, and was the runner up for the Fort Benning Drill Sergeant of the year award.
Upon finishing Drill Sergeant Duty, SFC Julca was assigned to the storied 173rd ABN BDE at Vicenza Italy. He served as Squad Leader during Operation Enduring Freedom, while assigned to 173rd ABN BDE SFC Julca participated in Airborne Operations during recent contingency deployments in support of NATO (as Latvia, Slovenia, Hungry, Lithuania and Ukraine) countries after the invasion of Crimea by Russian supporters. SFC Julca served as a Squad Leader and later as a Platoon Sergeant.

A few of SFC Julca awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, the Army Good Conduct award and German Armed Forces Physical Fitness Proficiency Badge. SFC Julca completed the Warriors Leaders Course, the Advance Leaders Course the Senior Leaders Course. He is also a graduate of the Basic Airborne and Air Assault Course. SFC Julca is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security.

SFC Julca is married to the former Sergeant Stephanie Heinze, from Lakeview, MI and they have two children Daniel and Sophia.
